As I embarked on my journey at New York University (NYU), I found myself immersed in a whirlwind of new experiences, challenges, and opportunities. The bustling streets of New York City served as the backdrop for my exploration of academic pursuits and personal growth.
However, amidst the excitement of university life, I found myself grappling with an important decision: whether to continue on my academic path or to take a gap year. Having come from Eton's all-inclusive environment, I realized that I lacked real-world experience and a clear sense of my passion and purpose.
After much reflection, I made the decision to take a gap year to explore my interests, gain practical experience, and chart a course that aligns with my long-term goals. While this choice may diverge from the conventional trajectory, I believe it is essential for personal and professional development.
During my gap year, I plan to immerse myself in diverse experiences, from internships and volunteer opportunities to travel and self-discovery. By stepping outside of my comfort zone and embracing new challenges, I hope to gain a deeper understanding of myself and the world around me.
